true love

“Will i loose her today?” he asked, ashen faced! The first time i had almost seen him about to cry!
“Not today! Definately not today!!”
Can words comfort? What is it like to see someone you love so dearly going through so much agony!? My grandma fell yesterday in the balcony, after which she suffered from high fever almost till the point of being delirious. We (us three cousins) spent the night there, tending to her and keeping an eye open and by the grace of God, she’s recovered pretty well this morning. Well enough that we could leave for our respective workplaces.
Last night, we also discovered what true love was. The following is a conversation i had with a cousin while we were out getting food and listening to the song “sajna ve”
cuz: mansoor, i dont think true love, i mean real devotional love doesnt exist anymore. Its all hype and myth!
me: it does and i can prove it.
cuz: how?
me: look at those two people back home. Thats true love
cuz: hhhmm…

words, no matter how much full of false hope, are always comforting…I pray she gets better and back home soon inshallah!
well said
Well written and very touching…..my opinions are somewhat similar to your cuz but maybe miracles change point-of-views…..I have my fingers crossed that maybe I would believe true love exists…..truely touching….Hope your grandma recovers. InshAllah
Nice to have heard, that dadima recovered. All my dua’as go out for her.I maintain my stance,I think you should go live with those guys:)
She will be fine Inshallah all our prayers are with her & I strongly believe true love exists
Stay Beautiful…!!
kanwal: thanks, this time we didnt take her to the hospital.. just took care of her at home. she’s feeling much better today
neelz: *bows*
hera: someday, you will find it… infact, it’ll come and hit you smack on your face

read my response to ur comment on “woh pehli baar” :p
Naaaahhhh been there done that….It once did smack me on the face but it smacked me even harder when I failed at it…..not everyone gets lucky when it comes to love…..relationships die too at times….but I seriously pray everyone else here including you would find their respective soul mates :))
hira: trust me.. its not just once
it’ll come by again! you just wait and see.. and this time, it’ll be even stronger than before. We all, like romantics tend to, like to believe love comes once in our lives… but we’re all a little bit more realistic. When the right person comes along.. you wont even know how it hit you, but u’ll find yourself wanting that *hurt* all over again
i m so glad ur grandmother recovered. loads o duas for her.
And mashallah for their love. may we all be so blessed in our lives. its so wonderful to have someone to spend ur whole lives with.
Just read the news - is your grandmother well now?
Best wishes and prayers for her. Nothing does heal a wound like love does - even physical wounds. You are right about love. We re all usually wrong about where to look for it - rather, where to *show* it.
