Its so funny when you make an obvious mistake, something which is unforgivenably wrong, and somehow the universe aligns itself to make it right!
I woke up late friday after suffering from a total strenght wipeout, to a msg from the office admin staff that they will open the office during the strike.
damn!! i thought to myself, hurriedly changed and left. Went down stairs and found out i’ve got a flat! which made me even more late. Eventually reached office close to 12:30 wondering why was i even here, since its namaz break from 12:30 to 2:30, and just as i reached the main door, i find out its closed!!
Quickly call up some more colleagues, who tell me another sms was sent out declaring the admin staff did not have the means to get to office, and hence we would be scheduling an off day. I never received that msg! But it did save me from missing out on half a days work acc. to the books.
Although, i never learn, and the next day i managed to get in to work no earlier than 11! This time, i had TWO.. i repeat.. TWO flat tyres!! (more on that later).
