Somedays make you both happy and sad at the same time!
My baby left today
But the last couple of moments we had together were awesome!!! I left work early, picked up my grandma, grandpa and my cousin U from clifton, and headed for gulshan where my aapi’s place is. After hauling baggage and loading up the cars, i finally had time to spend with my lovely niece. But it was too little!! we were about to leave.
There were three cars altogether. Mine was loaded with baggage, so had only one spot in the front, which U occupied. Aapi and her hubby took the radio cab (the other car) and my phuppa n phuppi (aapis parents) took theirs. Sharjeel, the son, is attached to his nana, so he rode with them, and U promptly picked up aaminah and brought her along. That was a very good move and made the journey to the airport a memorable one. Aaminah loves music, and loves swaying to the beat. We had Raeth’s latest playing in the car, and her mood changed with each song. She moved to the beats, and then laid down against U during the slower ones. It was ssshhhoooo cute! and we had a ball of a time driving.
Just as we came to jauhar mor, aaminah spotted another girl in the car which pulled up next to us. Even though the other girl was a bit older, that didnt deter her, and she started what can only be described as a staring contest. Both girls looking at each other, waiting to see who would flinch first! Just as the cars started to move again, she smiled and waved to the other girl before we overtook them! I dont have any idea what happened there.. but it was as if she had just won a battle. Got so hyper after that. lols
Then came the goodbyes… Thankfully, there was no crying this time. We saw them off at the airport, then waited. My brother-in-law requested that we do, since if the baggage they had was overweight, we’d take some of the stuff back. In the meanwhile, the four of us, grandparents, me and U went to McDonalds and stuffed ourselves with burgers fries and nuggets with Hot Mustard Sauce. Aapi called halfway through the meal to say they were safely onboard and the baggage had been handled. Thankgod for that.
The next item on our agenda was the yearly post-eid BBQ held at my chacha’s place (who actually is my dads older cousin, but somehow the word taia doesn’t sit right with me, so chacha it is). For the next three hours, i put marinated boti’s on the seekh and irritatted the hell out of poor U. By the end of the night, i felt as if my hand itself was marinated and ready to be BBQ’d!! It’s still burning :S
All in all, a very nice day to be had. I dont know why i’ve started putting so much detail here, but if your reading this (and read through everything from the top) thanks! Love you for it.

I did-read each and every word.i think it’s rubbing off:P
