Do you have a warranty?. I have had the same problem with my notebook that is fan started to make noises(just like pedastal fan) and then note book started to heat up and final outcome would be death of my notebook :).Now i am cursing myself for choosing notebook over desktop but for futre if you dont have to carry it around go for desktops.
