“i will not be the kind of boss that fires someone for no pretense.. i will not!“Â he thought, sitting in his office wondering what to do about X. Even after multiple warnings, he had not come upto mark. “God! Why are these things never easy!” He wished, picking up the phone and dialing a cellular number..

“h.. h.. hello?” it had taken every ounce of effort in his body to answer the call! X could not afford to miss it, it was the last thing he had in this world… “i’m very sorry to inform you X, but given your recent performance, we have no other choice but to let you go” said the voice over the phone.. shocked, he could not even reply. He looked down on the fresh tombstone of his wife and prayed he could’ve joined her that fateful day.

dys: somehow, its the ‘thokar’ which really gets me working up creatively… but you’re right.. makes the 55ers seem very morbid…. next one will be a happy one inshallah!
